To save Tang Wutong, Huo Yuhao suffers the grievous wounds of “nine holes and eighteen cuts.” As they teeter on the brink of death, a temporal turbulence sweeps them away, and their bodies revert to those of five-year-old children. They crash into Holy Soul Village on Douluo Dalu. Rescued by the young Tang San, they blend in as “orphans.” By day, they train their bodies while helping Tang Hao at the forge and “learn” the Tang Sect Secret Arts from Tang San, really just reviewing them to correct the flaws in his childhood training. By night, they secretly practice the Mysterious Heaven Skill and conceal their divine foundations.
On Martial Soul Awakening Day, Huo Yuhao reveals only his Spirit Eyes, suppressing his soul power to level five. Tang Wutong manifests only the Light Goddess Butterfly, hiding her Clear Sky Hammer. They pretend to have “Trash Martial Souls” and earn the villagers’ amazement, but only Tang San notices the purple glint in their eyes: fragments of memories from across time.
At Nuoding Academy, they keep a low profile as ordinary work-study students, but stand out thanks to the foundations built through the Tang Sect Secret Arts and combat instincts far beyond their peers. When the Shrek Seven Devils come together, Huo Yuhao helps Tang San turn the tide with Spiritual Detection, while Tang Wutong uses her luminous butterfly wings to protect Xiao Wu. They quietly become part of the Core Circle.
During a life-or-death crisis in the Star Dou Great Forest, Huo Yuhao’s Ice Empress aura escapes and Tang Wutong’s Clear Sky Hammer power bursts forth as they protect their companions, exposing their hidden strength. Though shocked, the Seven Devils choose to protect their secret together. When Tang San grows suspicious of their practiced use of the Tang Sect Secret Arts, Huo Yuhao and Tang Wutong finally confess: they come from the future and are Tang San and Xiao Wu’s “daughter and son-in-law,” here to make up for past regrets.
From the Continental Soul Master Tournament to the eve of their journey to Sea God Island, they work miracles with “single Martial Souls,” use their knowledge of the future to help their companions grow, and protect the main course of history beneath the shadow of Spirit Hall. In the final chapter, Huo Yuhao watches Tang San and Xiao Wu playfully bicker
There are some theoretical misunderstandings, such as Tang Wutong's memory (not sure if it has been sealed twice). If not, they have no reason not to know Tang San and grandfather Tang Hao, and Tang San left a ray of his consciousness in order to protect Tang Wutong. For someone who has read the original work, these two points are more concerning to me. I hope the author will explain these issues at the beginning next time
