Cultivation + transmigration + zombies + comedy + villain protagonist + ordinary-person progression + no heroine/one heroine (not decided yet). After sleeping for countless ages, Jiang Chen awakens in his tomb, only to discover that he has become the least welcome creature in the cultivation world: a zombie.
While other prodigies absorb spiritual energy, he feeds on moonlight and yin energy. While righteous cultivators hunt demons, he’s running for his life across the mountains.
Luckily, the Dao De Jing he brought with him when he transmigrated has become a supreme Daoist scripture.
And so, a bizarre scene unfolds: before sucking someone’s blood, he first recites, “The highest good is like water.” While stealing magical treasures, he doesn’t forget to shout, “Heaven and earth are not benevolent.” When the righteous sects surround him, he lays down a corpse-evil formation while sighing, “The Great Dao is formless.”
The entire cultivation world is at a loss before this zombie who insists on making everything reasonable. “Could you please just moan and groan like a normal zombie?”
Jiang Chen wipes the blood from the corner of his mouth, expressionless. “This humble Daoist is Jiang Chen. I seek only immortality. Fellow cultivators, please help me attain the Dao.”
This is the strange tale of a zombie who wins people over in the cultivation world by preaching morality.
