My Surveillance Target Insists We Become a Couple

A frail, seemingly gentle but secretly calculating strategist vs. a timid-looking, dual-personality female general who’s a maniac underneath. They save each other, fall in love over time, grow together, and dote on each other.

When she was thirteen, Yan Ning'er went tumbling right in front of Shen Huaiqing’s prison cart while fighting a wild dog for half a steamed bun. Shen Huaiqing was the youngest top graduate of the imperial examinations in the Great Jing Dynasty, handsome and brilliant, the dream man of countless young women. But that was then. Now, after refusing the Crown Prince and offending the emperor, his legs had been broken and his entire family had abandoned him. Yan Ning'er never imagined that one fall would bind them together for life. From the capital of Great Jing to the frontier, then to the Wuhuan royal court, and finally back to the capital, she stayed by his side through so much. Shen Huaiqing believed Yan Ning'er was the Crown Prince’s henchman, sent to tame him. He kept his distance, cold and aloof, yet had no choice but to depend on her to survive. Before long, he found himself drawn to her.

Shen Huaiqing: “Ning'er, what if I marry you with this kingdom as your dowry?”

Yan Ning'er: “First, let me wash my blade in that bastard Crown Prince’s blood.”

System: “Aaaah! That’s not how this is supposed to go! You’re supposed to…”

Yan Ning'er: “Shut up. Keep talking and I’ll wipe you out too.”

Shen Huaiqing: “Ning'er is right.”
