On the surface, this is an ordinary modern city, but in truth it is teeming with dark energy and haunted by ghosts. China's Yin Exorcism Bureau recruits people with special abilities and sends a five-person team, including Cheng Kairui and Gu Beichen, to a remote town to cleanse a cursed place. One sinister incident follows another in the town: crying from an old mansion, people crawling out of a dry well, and more. As they investigate, the team members bicker and work together in equal measure.
An unexpected ally emerges during the investigation. Fei Huan's ghost mirror, Ye Ming, can kill ghosts and even become a god, wielding immense power. With Ye Ming on their side, the team gains confidence when facing evil spirits, and their ability to break through difficult cases far surpasses that of other teams.
