Blood and Fire: The Eight Desolations Special Forces

After the 1937 Battle of Shanghai, a mysterious resistance force known as the Eight Desolations Special Operations Team appears in Japanese-occupied North China. Lin Ye, a modern-day special forces soldier, is unexpectedly transmigrated to the war-torn years of resistance against Japan. With a "Historical Fragments System" that unlocks authentic records of the war, he must pay a price: blindness, weapons malfunctioning, and more. He joins forces with Chu Yunfei, a tough officer in the Jin-Sui Army, to form a special operations unit that combines modern tactics with guerrilla ingenuity. The blind sharpshooter A-Qi can pinpoint targets by sound, the explosives expert Blacksmith makes homemade land mines, and the battlefield nurse Su Wan races through a hail of bullets. From the ambush at Yangqu Town to the decisive battle at Ping'an County, from the maze of tunnel warfare to a bioweapons laboratory in Changbai Mountain, the Eight Desolations Special Operations Team changes the course of the war with swarm tactics and decapitation strikes. When Lin Ye uncovers the Japanese army's biological warfare plot by Unit 731, and Su Wan drives an explosives-laden truck into the enemy camp to cover her comrades' retreat, this blood-soaked journey across time will ultimately join the tide that sweeps the nation to victory in the War of Resistance.
