After the God of War Prince Took Her by Force, His Princess Consort Was Loving It

Lin Wanyi, the legitimate daughter of a military family, was about to marry her childhood sweetheart, the top graduate of the imperial examinations. Then an imperial decree came crashing down from the heavens: the God of War, Xiao Heng, had returned victorious and requested two decrees in the Golden Hall, one to arrange their marriage, and another declaring that he would have only her for the rest of his life. The whole city was in an uproar, and everyone envied her. But Lin Wanyi threw down her phoenix crown. "Your Highness, a melon forced from the vine won't taste sweet!" Xiao Heng's eyes were dark and unfathomable. "I forced it from the vine. I have my ways of making it sweet to the very core." On their wedding night, she handed him a divorce agreement. He burned it and handed her his military tally. "The prince's residence treasury and the Northern Frontier army are yours to command. So am I." She sneered. "Your Highness, I'm jealous. I won't tolerate rivals." He swore to the heavens. "The imperial decree is proof. You alone will be mine for this lifetime, with heaven and earth as my witness." She bred warhorses and opened a publishing house, while he watched with indulgent amusement. When the Crown Princess made things difficult for her, he rebuked her in front of everyone. "Who are you to lecture my princess consort?" When she was trapped in enemy territory, he fought his way through the encirclement alone, covered in blood, and held her tightly. "Wanwan, don't be afraid." As it turned out, the melon he'd forced from the vine really had become a peerless honeyed delight, sweetening the whole capital.
