I Became the Villain, Then Died My Way into Becoming an Empress

Overworked office drone Lin Xiaoyao dies suddenly and transmigrates into a book, landing in a hellish situation from the start: she has become the vicious Princess Zhaohua, a villainess whose original ending is horrific, involving poisoned wine and having her corpse exposed to the elements! Faced with a death flag she can't escape, Lin Xiaoyao steels herself: stay away from the protagonists, stay away from imperial power, and do everything she can to get herself killed! Please exile me! Please strip me of my title! So she starts causing trouble like crazy: Squandering money? The common folk cheer, “Our fairy benefactor!” Recruiting handsome men? Her subordinates rejoice, “What a discerning eye! They're all pillars of the realm!” Speaking recklessly about state affairs? The officials marvel, “What foresight! What a brilliant chain of plans!” Beating someone in the street? The people bow down, “Princess Zhaohua, our incorruptible judge!” Lin Xiaoyao: “No! Hear me out! I'm really trying to get myself killed!” (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Her reputation keeps rising at a bizarre rate, and the regency lands in her lap. In the end, even the dragon throne somehow appears right before her. Clutching the Imperial Seal, Lin Xiaoyao sobs: I just wanted to be a happy, lazy landowner. How did I end up being forced into the job of empress?!
