A Kiss of Agony in the Abyss

Lin Yu’s life was an endless torture. In his single-parent home, his father’s violence and abuse gnawed at him like a demon, while his mother locked him in a cage with confinement and alcohol. Depression and anxiety crawled through his bones like maggots. In the darkness, he counted his wounds, convinced that death was the only escape.

Then Zhao Yichen appeared. This righteous special forces soldier burst through the iron cage like a blinding ray of light. He wanted to save Lin Yu, but the despair in Lin Yu’s eyes first tore him to pieces.

The shadow of domestic abuse, the shackles of mental illness, society’s cold stares, and the thorns of reality all viciously strangled their bond. When Lin Yu hurt himself, Zhao Yichen knelt and licked his wounds. When Zhao Yichen was in danger, Lin Yu risked his life to fight for him. They struggle together on the brink of the abyss: will they fall into darkness together, or join hands to tear open the dawn?

A story that lays bare the festering wounds of dysfunctional families and follows two souls as they save each other through cruelty and pain. A realistic story with two male leads, sweetness hidden among the angst, and blood mixed into the sweetness.
