The story begins at the beginning of the first year of high school, when the male and female protagonists with very different personalities meet for the first time at the freshman assembly. One is obsessed with mathematics, silent and introverted; the other loves literature, lively and talkative. After that, every bit of campus life connected the fate of the two. From the surprising glimpse in math class to the "forced" participation in the literary club; from the chance encounter in the library to the warm support at the sports meeting, their interactions gradually increased, and their good feelings sprouted inadvertently.
During their sophomore year in high school, the two became increasingly close. The cross-border cooperation between mathematics and poetry allowed them to discover each other's shining points; "skipping class" together to bask in the sun and secretly tutoring before exams made their tacit understanding grow day by day. Although there were quarrels, the relationship deepened each time after reconciliation, and an atmosphere of ambiguity filled the air around them.
The senior year of high school is approaching, and the pressure of the college entrance examination is everywhere, and the time spent together has dropped sharply. However, the cooperation on the graduation album and the heart-to-heart talks on the rooftop allowed them to still care about each other despite their busy schedule. At the end of the college entrance examination, the differences in the application forms made them face separation. Those unspoken confessions became the most beautiful regret in youth.
This work uses delicate brushstrokes to describe three years of academic struggle, friendship, and ignorant crush in high school. It shows the collision of rationality and sensibility, the process of growth and transformation, and evokes people's beautiful memories of their youth, allowing people to immerse themselves in that innocent and unforgettable time.
