How Did I, a Capitalist, Become a National Hero?

Modern office worker Zhou Qian works himself to death pulling an all-nighter. When he opens his eyes, he has become the third young master of a warlord family in Republican-era Shanghai, a spoiled heir to a powerful family.

The original owner was a villain who did every kind of evil. He was just beaten into critical condition for trying to steal a woman. Zhou Qian inherits not only a body covered in wounds, but also a life-threatening “Capitalist System”: he must take control of at least one real-world business within a month, or be erased!

His father is the “King of West Shanghai,” whose every step makes the whole district tremble. His eldest uncle commands a powerful army, his second uncle is fabulously wealthy, and his third uncle has connections everywhere... With a family background like this, he's been handed the perfect “launchpad” for starting a business!

But getting a business from his shrewd second uncle...

And earning the respect of his powerful elders?

It's harder than reaching the heavens!

Zhou Qian sneers: A wastrel? A fool? That's only because you haven't seen a real capitalist!

In his pursuit of System points, he unwittingly becomes a hidden force in the war against Japan.
