It was only after Ye Yin saw the comet that he realized his world was not as simple as it seemed.
The comet known as Hasait brought a god who sought to devour their world. By sheer luck, or perhaps misfortune, Ye Yin was chosen by that so-called god.
He didn’t understand why it had chosen him.
Even less did he understand why it kept saying he had no choice.
All he knew was that the god had brought the supernatural, and that the supernatural devoured humans to gather power for their master’s arrival in reality.
The god who had chosen him was much the same. There was only one strange thing about it.
That being seemed to hate the very existence of gods, and had even given him the power to kill them.
The power it gave him was simple and brutal: a System for killing monsters and leveling up.
He was more than familiar with Systems like this.
Fine. The supernatural, the gods, all of them were just fodder.
Ye Yin had this to say:
I just want to live a quiet life, but now the other side of the world has been laid bare before me.
Fine. I don’t want to accept what you’re forcing on me, so just you wait.
I’ll fight monsters and level up. If there’s a problem, I’ll solve it. If I can’t solve the problem, I’ll deal with whoever caused it.
One day, I’ll butcher every last one of you gods.
