My Ex Won’t Take No for an Answer and Begs to Reconcile

2032, victory banquet. Mr. Qin, one of the shareholders of WDL TT, has devoted himself to the development of the sport since retiring. He has not only increased the prize money for doubles and mixed doubles, but also given athletes a greater say. Ms. Shi, the new president of the International Roundball Federation, was promoted beyond the usual ranks and now holds absolute decision-making power. The refined and aloof Mr. Qin elegantly carried his wineglass over to Ms. Shi. Mr. Qin: So Ms. Shi is the one who graduated from Beijing Film Academy. I wonder what excuse you’ll use to turn down a drink from me? Ms. Shi: I don’t want to get entangled with my ex-husband again. Later, Mr. Qin wrapped an arm around Ms. Shi’s waist and forcefully declared his claim on her to her suitors. Ms. Shi: Sorry, we’re not close. Mr. Qin: Honey, that’s not what you said in bed last night. Ms. Shi: We’re divorced, ex-husband. Mr. Qin: Do you have a divorce certificate? Under pressure from all sides, their relationship hit a crisis. In a fit of pique, they went to the civil affairs bureau and filed for divorce. When the cooling-off period ended, they were both overseas for competitions. Ms. Shi: We can register again when we have time. Mr. Qin: No need. After living apart for more than two years, the divorce is automatic. Ms. Shi believed him. Four years later, they met again. Claiming that she had no divorce certificate, Mr. Qin shamelessly stayed in Ms. Shi’s bed and refused to get out.
