Journey to the West: Making Guanyin Cry from the Start

Office drone Chen Xuan's soul travels to the world of Journey to the West. After ten years of diligently studying Buddhist scriptures, he gets psychologically manipulated by Guanyin in the final "interview" for the pilgrimage, only to see Jin Chanzi given the job through connections. Faced with such a blatant parachute appointment and the oppression of "destiny," Chen Xuan can't take it anymore. He roars on the spot, "To hell with destiny! Whoever wants to fetch these scriptures can do it. I'm out!" The [Defy-Heaven-and-Laze-Around System] activates! The beginner's gift pack grants him a max-level copy of the Hongmeng Art, sending his magic power straight to the Celestial Immortal realm! Facing the furious Guanyin, Chen Xuan doesn't fight. Instead, he leisurely conjures a reclining chair and an ice-cold soda, then needles the Bodhisattva with sarcastic remarks until her Daoist heart wavers and she storms off! From then on, the Three Realms have a most "unorthodox" monk. He recruits the White Bone Spirit to stage an immersive murder-mystery game called "Three Beatings of the White Bone Spirit," makes Red Boy a sales director for fire extinguishers, and turns Flaming Mountain into a hot-and-cold spring resort... Start competing for promotions in the world of Journey to the West? No way! Chen Xuan vows to laze around until the script of destiny completely falls apart!
