Keep Running: My Sweet Everyday Life with Yuqi

Wei Xuanhe is an ordinary post-00s young man from the 21st century. After an accidental car crash, he transmigrates to a parallel world, where he becomes a trainee at South Korea's SE Entertainment and senior to the idol Song Yuqi. During their time as trainees in a foreign country, the two support each other. Under the warm lights of the practice room late at night, he slips her the candy she loves; when she makes a mistake onstage, he hands her a tissue and tells a silly joke. Their friendship deepens through everyday moments like sharing ramen and straightening each other's collars. Averted gazes and fingertips burning with warmth conceal feelings neither has voiced. At 23, Wei Xuanhe ends his contract and returns to China. As they part, Song Yuqi gives him a notebook full of “You can do it!” notes, saying little else. Fate brings them together again on Running Man. They act naturally affectionate in front of the cameras, while their private glances hold restrained, tentative questions. At his homecoming concert, during the encore, he sings to her in the audience an unreleased love song that holds the story of the two of them. Late that night, at a small restaurant after the concert, beneath the warm yellow lights, Wei Xuanhe grips his glass. “Yuqi, ever since we first met in Korea, I think I've wanted to be more than your senior and your friend.” Song Yuqi looks up, her eyes glistening, and softly answers, “Mm.” Moonlight falls on their glasses as they touch, and on two hearts that have finally found each other across time and distance.
