A Starbound Comeback: The Metaphysical Agent’s Cherished Darling

Su Wan, an overworked office worker, accidentally transmigrates into a wish-fulfillment novel about a leading lady in the entertainment industry. She becomes the cannon-fodder supporting actress who won’t survive three episodes and is about to get killed off. Even more absurdly, the System she’s bound to doesn’t give her a golden finger, but instead issues a bizarre order: she must enter a talent competition and cannot debut, or she’ll be erased immediately.

Faced with this desperate situation, Su Wan relies on an office worker’s dedication and her maxed-out social skills to begin her comeback in the entertainment industry. She takes down the scheming Lin Weiwei, kicks aside all kinds of rigged schemes, and uses her talent and emotional intelligence to get through one crisis after another.

On the talent show stage, she unexpectedly catches the attention of Gu Yan, a dark and calculating top agent with a knack for mysticism. Gu Yan has a commanding presence and can see through everything with his supernatural insight. He offers Su Wan a deal. Looking at her bank balance and the System’s threat to erase her, Su Wan decisively enters into a partnership with this “dangerous” agent.

From then on, Su Wan deals with the endless commotion of the entertainment industry while working hard to fulfill her dream of “clocking out on time,” steadily advancing under Gu Yan’s supernatural protection. She becomes a hot topic whom every director and production crew is fighting to recruit. From the brink of erasure, she makes a spectacular comeback, rises to become a top-tier star, and finds sweet romance with Gu Yan. The industry gains a legendary tale about someone who’s always thinking of clocking out but ends up more famous than ever.
