Wang Dachui, the Immortal Village Chief

Wang Dachui is an utterly ordinary modern-day wage slave. One day, he gets struck by lightning, roasted black and crisp, and wakes up in a backward ancient mountain village called Shiwa Village. Rescued by the old village chief, he makes up a story on the spot to hide that he transmigrated, claiming to be an immortal who failed his tribulation. To his surprise, the story comes true thanks to his built-in "Treasure Space," stocked with modern supplies, tools, seeds, and more.

He uses potatoes from the space to end a famine, fertilizer to make crops grow like crazy, and simple tools to improve the villagers' lives. He also becomes a bickering couple with Zhao Qinglan, the aloof, taciturn daughter of a military family who fled there as a refugee. Facing troublemakers from other villages, bandit raids, and invasions by neighboring countries, Wang Dachui uses his "immortal methods" (modern knowledge and supplies from his space) to deliver one face-slapping moment after another. He leads the villagers to prosperity and is practically forced into becoming village chief, earning fame far and wide as the "Immortal Village Chief." With his lazy nature, he somehow unifies the realm without even realizing it!
