Serving the Chongzhen Emperor: From Imperial Guard to Immortal Dynasty

Chen Mo, a history graduate student researching the late Ming dynasty, dies suddenly. When he wakes up, he discovers that he has acquired the National Fortune System, which lets him travel through time and possess an ancestor from the late Ming: a low-ranking Imperial Guard about to be executed as a scapegoat.

The System turns the Ming dynasty into data, putting national fortune, popular support, military morale, and government finances all at his fingertips. Any action that benefits the country and its people can earn “National Fortune Points.”

[Execute a corrupt official: +10 National Fortune Points. Redeem them for your ancestor’s combat prowess!]

[Promote potato farming: +100 popular support. Unlock the “Exploitation of the Works of Nature” technology tree!]

[Win a battle: +1,000 military morale. Grant your army the “Loyalty Brings Victory” aura!]

From the start, Chen Mo uses his knowledge of history to expose a major embezzler at court right in front of the Chongzhen Emperor, earning his trust. Just as everyone believes the Ming dynasty is doomed, he directs his ancestor to hold off the Manchus in the north and suppress the rebels in the south, equips the army with advanced technology, and feeds the people with hybrid rice.

He aims to reverse not only the fate of a dynasty, but also to turn his own family into the foremost guardian clan, one whose fortunes rise and fall with the nation and whose legacy endures for countless generations!
