Who gets it?! This damn System is always trying to send me to the heavenly prison to be fed to the dogs!
I'm just an easygoing guy who likes fishing. Every day, I grab my fishing rod and sit by a bend in the river all afternoon. But the System just has to butt in and make its presence felt: "Daily check-in successful. Ten nine-thousand-year peaches have appeared out of nowhere at your feet." Their sweet fragrance comes with an unmistakable sense that they must be stolen goods. I quietly jot down in my notebook: "Went fishing today. Got skunked. Found ten peaches."
This isn't a check-in reward, it's practically a reminder that the Three Realms' wanted posters are about to go up. Last time it gave me a Demon Lord's inner core, I hadn't even figured out what to do with it before the Heavenly Court's wanted poster appeared on the old locust tree at the village entrance. The time before that, it gave me a Demon Emperor's broken horn. I hid with it for three days, while the System kept laughing in my ear: "Host, hurry up and move! The Divine Justice God is on his way with a hundred thousand heavenly soldiers!"
Even crazier is the new prompt it just threw at me: "Next check-in location locked: Lingxiao Palace!"
So this fishing rod of mine is going to end up as a crowbar for prying open the Southern Heavenly Gate, isn't it? I can practically hear the heavenly soldiers marching over, and the System is still urging me to pack up and charge into the Heavenly Court. Somebody save my poor life, which the System has put through the wringer!
