After dying suddenly from overwork, a corporate wage slave binds herself to a merit System. To stay alive, she must transmigrate into TV dramas, change the fates of supporting female characters against all odds, and earn merit.
In Empresses in the Palace, Fuzi has just been thrown into a well. As she suffocates, she digs her fingers into the stone and climbs back out.
System: “Task one: Humiliate Consort Hua in public. Reward: 10 merit points.”
She sneaks a plump duck from the Imperial Kitchen, then slips it into Consort Hua’s gorgeous robes while she’s admiring the flowers.
Consort Hua shrieks as she pulls the duck from under her skirt. The concubines throughout the palace struggle so hard to stifle their laughter that they nearly hurt themselves.
With her merit points earned, Lin Wan gnaws on a duck leg and sneers. The supporting ladies’ good fortune is only just beginning.
