I Perform Spirit Medium Rituals in My Hometown

A Record of Strange Happenings in My Hometown That Science Can't Explain: Watch Me Break the Deadlock with Spirit-Medium Rituals!

Lin Xi, a materialist university student from a big city, is called back to her isolated hometown by a telegram from her grandfather saying he is critically ill. But instead of a warm family welcome, she encounters a talking weasel blocking the road and demanding to be given a title, a dripping wet “human shadow” crawling out of an ancient well in the dead of night, and a century-old stone bridge mysteriously collapsing and crushing livestock... Her grandfather has vanished without a trace, leaving behind only a notebook full of bizarre scrawls and a broken compass.

When excavators are about to tear down a thousand-year-old sacred tree and a “ghost city” created by dark arts looms over the town, Lin Xi realizes that her grandfather's “superstitious” notebook may be her only lifeline. Nuo opera masks, Zhuyou talismans and spells, reading bones to determine fate... This half-baked spirit medium must combine the oldest wisdom with a modern mind, lead a band of oddball companions, and take on both big business and dark sorcery head-on!
