She didn’t know he was a lonely spirit who had wandered there for a hundred years. He had forgotten why he remained there, until he met a cool, distant young woman. He could no longer remember how long he had been trapped in the valley. Xiaoyu’s arrival was like a ray of light shining into the secluded valley. Two lonely souls met and instantly understood each other’s sorrow. They went from strangers to familiar companions, becoming one another’s closest company. Xiaoyu took the young man out to herd sheep and play, taught him how to make incense and create a sea of flowers and waterfalls, and cooked delicious meals for him. The young man gradually changed, too. He went from being at a loss to taking the initiative, preparing meals, washing clothes, planting flowers and plants, and waiting for Xiaoyu to return. They became lights who redeemed each other in the darkness, and as they spent time together, they became irreplaceable in one another’s hearts. Until one day, Xiaoyu discovered that the young man was no ordinary person, but a ghost trapped in the valley. Holding back her grief, she told him the truth.
