Great Tang: Little Sizi's Daily Life

[Princess Li Mingda of Jinyang + Adorable Child + Family Darling + Everyday Life]

During the Zhenguan era of the Tang dynasty, the empire enjoys peace and prosperity.

Little Princess Li Mingda is the darling of the royal family. Sweet-natured and fond of crying, she often gets into amusing mishaps. At two and a half, she gets lost in the imperial garden and chews on angelica root, then causes chaos during a court meeting.

Her birthday banquet is full of antics, from handing out pebbles to starting a fire by smashing a colored-glass mirror. Though she doesn't understand the rules, she somehow always brings good luck. Smearing mud on lotus flowers helps them withstand storms, while sourdough turns out to be the perfect appetite booster for the imperial horses.

Whether she's tossing sugar-filled rice dumplings at the Dragon Boat Festival, feeding rabbits at the Mid-Autumn Festival, having snowball fights at the winter solstice, or burying lucky money on New Year's Eve, she always finds a way to get into adorable mischief. In the end, she even miraculously helps the gravely ill Empress Zhangsun recover. Surrounded by the warmth of the prosperous Tang dynasty, she grows up slowly, cherished through the little moments of everyday life, until she becomes the “Auspicious Cloud Princess” in the hearts of the people of the Tang.
