Lone Blade, True Martial Arts, and the Frozen Calamity

The eight great sects of the martial world seek lost divine weapons and the techniques of the Xuanwu True Scripture. Among them is Liu Qingyang, known throughout the martial world as “Cold as Ice,” the closed-door disciple of Sect Leader Shi Jingyuan, the fourteenth-generation heir of the Wudang Sect. The story follows Liu Qingyang, who reaches the pinnacle as soon as he enters the martial world, and faces its dangers, infighting among fellow disciples, and the ugliness of society. It takes place from the eighth year of the Chenghua reign to the forty-eighth year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming dynasty. The protagonist, Liu Qingyang, was born in the ninth year of the Jiajing reign. During this period, the eight great sects become entangled in martial-world feuds as they seek divine weapons and the Xuanwu True Scripture. Legend has it that these divine weapons left the imperial palace when the Mongol army breached Lin'an at the end of the Southern Song dynasty. It is also said that the weapons conceal secrets of ingenious strategy, Yue Wumu's military tactics, and a treasure of gold. Whoever obtains the divine weapons and the Xuanwu True Scripture will unite the martial world.
