The Immortal Venerable Returns: My Dao Heart Is My Daughter

He was Su Xuan, the Boundless Immortal Venerable who stood atop the myriad realms and watched eras come and go. The Great Dao was merciless. He severed his seven emotions and six desires, finally reaching the supreme state where all laws converged, only to find endless emptiness and solitude at the end.

At the final moment, just before merging with the Heavenly Dao, he glimpsed a thread of cause and effect he had severed with his own hands: before embarking on the path to immortality, he had left behind a child, a daughter he had never met.

That thread became the sole crack in his frozen Dao heart.

So he resolutely gave up the Immortal Venerable’s undying Dao fruit, reversed time and space, and returned to the blue planet, carrying boundless regret and the wisdom of billions of years. He came back to that summer when he was twenty-five.

This time, he wanted no power that reached the heavens and sought no eternal life.

He only wanted to hold his daughter’s little hand, watch her grow up, and see her smile.

He only wanted to be a good father and make up for everything he had failed to give her in his previous life.

Yet Su Xuan gradually discovered that when he made his daughter his one and only “Dao,” an unprecedented power was quietly budding in the love and protection of ordinary family life.

The once-cold laws of heaven and earth became a cradle woven for his daughter.

The world’s spiritual energy became a warm shield protecting her.

This is the story of an Immortal Venerable returning to the city to devote himself to being a stay-at-home dad, only to accidentally become invincible all over again.
