My AI Roommate Can’t Possibly Be This Cute

A clash of technology: An unexpected intrusion by “Xiaoyu,” an AI system developed by engineer Qi Yu, into the smart home of popular livestreamer Su Tang brings two people with completely different lives into contact.

A misunderstanding from the start: Su Tang mistakes Qi Yu for a malicious hacker and reports him to the police, while Qi Yu assumes Su Tang is an unscrupulous influencer staging a publicity stunt. Their first meeting is full of hostility.

The truth comes out: Qi Yu proves the intrusion was caused by a system malfunction, not deliberate hacking. Su Tang discovers he is an up-and-coming figure in the tech world, and the two grudgingly make peace after police mediation.

A hidden connection: Qi Yu recognizes Su Tang as the senior he had a crush on in college, while Su Tang has already heard about the products made by Qi Yu’s tech company. Their identities spark fresh curiosity about one another.

Forced to work together: The malfunction requires ongoing maintenance, so Qi Yu has to keep visiting Su Tang’s living space. The two are forced into an unexpected period of living together.

Opposites in personality: The lifestyles of a homebody engineer and a sociable livestreamer collide. Their smart home becomes a “battleground” for wits, leading to one comic mishap after another.

A crisis brings them closer: When Su Tang faces a career crisis, Qi Yu’s technical support unexpectedly helps her out of trouble, and their relationship takes a turn for the better.
