A Vision of Disillusionment

I don’t know when the world started changing. Or perhaps it was always like this. The names of people I know are gradually slipping from my mind. Faces I’ve seen countless times seem impossibly strange. I reach out and seize the reality that has long since twisted out of shape. Its firm grip gives me a moment of relief, but when I turn around, I find countless pairs of eyes filled with greed. My name is Chu Feng. I wager my life and walk the boundary between reality and illusion. I bet against them, and they covet my stakes. I, too, long to bite into their flesh once more. I will win, until I’ve won everything or lost it all.
