Ghost Eyes and Buddha's Hands: I Appraise the World of the Jianghu

On a snowy night, she crushed a trafficker’s throat bone and dragged seven-year-old me into hell.

“Does it hurt?” Her bloodstained fingertip, red as glazed glass, traced my eyelid. “This martial world feeds on the bones of living saints.”

Ten years of tempering turned me into a monster:

A pair of Ghost Eyes that could identify every rare treasure under heaven, yet also see through the blood curse carved on a boatman’s waist token in Along the River During the Qingming Festival, a curse tied to a collector who murdered his ancestor;

A pair of Buddha’s Hands that could unravel a deadly game as smoothly as playing a zither, dismantling a poisoned box in a life-or-death wager so my opponent would die, while blood flowed backward from my fingertips to my heart;

A body of peerless skills: disguise, voice mimicry, poison, hidden weapons… Until the night I graduated, when the words “Revenge yet unavenged” were carved inside the blood-jade cicada I stole.

Only after entering the martial world did I understand the truth she taught me:

At the treasure appraisal contest in Tianjin Guard, I forced a master to sever his own “appraising hand” because he had used his own son’s blood to nurture porcelain for foreign buyers;

When we opened a coffin in a Qinling Mountains underground palace, I saw the corpse inside wearing her earring. The murals revealed that the tomb keeper had actually been suppressing her entire clan;

As the Thousand-Faced Buddha went mad and murdered his son, my Ghost Eyes reflected his memories: my whole family’s blood had already flowed like a river beneath his blade.

And when she activated the blood-sacrifice formation, I finally learned that the most poisonous scheme had been laid from the very beginning:

“Dear disciple,” Liu Lihong said, her white hair as snowy as she stroked my cheek. “Those Ghost Eyes of yours that see through everything… have you ever seen through yourself?”

Chains clanked at the bottom of the Demon-Suppressing Well, where my twin brother, identical to me, was shackled.

The late emperor’s final edict appeared in the firelight: twin demon fetuses, choose one to sacrifice to Heaven.

What treasures and rarities could there be in this martial world?

The Luoyang Mirror reflected the demons in people’s hearts, while the bronze cauldron weighed down the wronged souls of its craftsmen.

I shattered the divination board with my Buddha’s Hands and established a new rule: “Counterfeiters lose a finger; anyone who steals a treasure is buried in the Avici Hell!”
