Protagonist: Sheng Wanwan
[Heroine transmigrates into a book + love rivalry + a husband-chasing crematorium + mutual salvation]
The heroine, Sheng Wanwan, was an upright, hot-tempered modern office worker. When a colleague was being made the scapegoat for a superior’s mistake, she spoke up in their defense and was fired. She didn’t regret it for a second. After quickly packing up her things, she hailed a cab to go home. Bored on the way, she opened a novel at random. The heroine in the book was the legitimate daughter of a marquis’s household, but had a meek disposition. Her useless father didn’t care for her, and she was constantly bullied by Concubine Zhao and her half-sister, Sheng Qingqing. The heroine was so timid in the marquis’s household that even her servants suffered along with her. As she read, Sheng Wanwan grew furious. What a spineless coward! She was about to leave a comment when the driver, turning a corner, failed to see a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction. In an instant, everything spun. Sheng Wanwan was flung out of the car and landed on the cold ground, feeling as if the whole world had turned upside down.
Then a thought flashed through her mind: Why does this look so much like the transmigrate-into-a-book scenes I’ve read about? Could I be about to transmigrate into a book too?
