The Bureau of Human Aberrations

Tokyo in the future, in the year “Showa 101.” Behind the city’s glittering facade lies a hidden world made of “Phantom Spirit” energy. High school student Uesugi Ren awakens to his powers in a subway accident, gaining the ability to see and absorb “Phantom Spirits,” beings formed from human obsessions. He is recruited by the government organization known as the Bureau of Yin and Yang and becomes a “Sequencer” tasked with handling supernatural incidents. While investigating a series of urban legends, Ren discovers that every incident points to a thousand-year-old conspiracy: the vengeful spirit of the ancient noble Taira no Masakado is trying to resurrect himself by gathering the “Seven Deadly Sin Sequences,” plunging Tokyo into an endless night of a hundred demons.
