Reborn in 1995: From Street Punk to Comedy Godfather

Reborn in 1995, Zhang Daxi becomes the most despised loafer at a steel mill in Northeast China, buried in debt and with no future in sight.

When the factory’s variety show is about to fall apart, he is forced to step in. His modified stand-up routine, blending streetwise banter with the grit of the workers, brings the house down!

From taking over the steel mill’s auditorium to dominating the province’s comedy competition; from creating the hit TV series Northeast Family to founding Daxi Media and charging into the internet age…

Just as his comedy empire begins to take shape, a corporate giant arrives with a hostile takeover bid.

See how this Northeastern man uses his hearty local humor and wits to stay true to himself amid the tides of the times, turning laughter into an unbreakable fortress!

This is more than the underdog’s rise from loafer to godfather of comedy. It is the legend of an ordinary man in a changing era, written in laughter!
