Revolution Against Heaven! The Great Sage Defies the Sky! A Journey to the West Godslayer Chronicle

[My name is Sun Wukong. I am a disciple of Patriarch Subhuti, who taught at the Three Stars Cave of the Slanted Moon on the Mountain of the Mind and Heart.] Patriarch Subhuti taught him the secrets of immortality, as well as how to resist it. “Those willing to follow Yang Jian, for their departed kin, for justice, and for equality among all living beings, come to Guanjiangkou!” Guanjiangkou became a beacon of rebellion. Erlang Shen proclaimed to the Three Realms the ten unforgivable crimes of the Heavenly Court. The Heavenly River Navy mobilized to crush the uprising! Sun Wukong deeply admired every hero who would rather die with honor than live in disgrace. When heroes gave their lives, it showed him what was right and what was wrong. He surrendered to the Buddha, submitted to the Old Lord, and accepted the Jade Emperor’s offer of amnesty, not because he approved of their harmful deeds. On the contrary, whenever he remembered the heroes who had given their lives, he knew what he had to keep fighting for. Only by enduring humiliation could he carry on, until the day he toppled this false heaven that harmed the people. At last, Sun Wukong removed the tightening headband. He had let his guard down once, back then, and endured humiliation for years, all for this day! He saw through the truth of how the gods and immortals harmed humanity and all living beings. (Demons with powerful patrons brought ruin to the country and people, yet were rewarded, while the Jade Emperor, Buddha, and Daoist Patriarch put on a hypocritical show of caring for the people, when in truth they encouraged people to harm others and sent their own subordinates to do so for rewards.) As Tang Sanzang watched the final moments of a believer, the gods and Buddhas stared coldly as they sucked away the believer’s faith. Blood tears streamed from his eyes: “Wukong, we took the wrong scriptures!” Gao Cuilan’s family had died in a Heavenly Court conspiracy? Bajie’s rake blazed with killing intent: “The Heavenly Court’s vile thieves are our sworn enemies!” The countless arrows piercing through Sha Wujing’s body were actually a seal of torture: “Elder Brother, take me... to wage war on Heaven!” The Little White Dragon knelt and roared: “The Heavenly Court drained my father’s marrow!” Red Boy dealt harshly with corrupt officials in the lower ranks of the Immortal Realm. When Nezha and Yang Jian both switched sides, the Human Emperor brought out the God-Slaying Crossbow, and the Kingdom of Women raised the Black Bird Banner. Standing amid the ruins of the Hall of Miraculous Mists, Wukong sneered: “All living beings shall govern themselves. It begins today!”
