The Biluotian Dynasty
An imagined but highly advanced ancient dynasty. It combines the grandeur of the High Tang with the economic and cultural prosperity of the Song, though its technological development has taken a slightly different path, placing greater emphasis on ingenious mechanisms, an advanced form of the craft associated with Lu Ban, but not steampunk, and on a distinctive study of spirit patterns. Similar to Daoist talismans and feng shui, but more systematic, it can generate faint yet perceptible “fields” used for warning, tracking, or special effects. It is not fantasy. The dynasty spans vast territories, stretching five thousand miles from east to west and three thousand miles from north to south, encompassing diverse landscapes and cultural regions.
