The Easygoing Demon King’s Modern Life

[Urban Cultivation] [Max Level from the Start] [Journey to the West spin-off] Struck by lightning one day, Xiong Feng became the Black Bear Spirit from Journey to the West. When his memories merged, he was stunned: this monster didn’t kill people or rob anyone. His only hobby was gardening. His cave abode rivaled a five-star garden, and he often discussed scriptures and the Dao with his friends. A quick calculation told him that in the original story, after stealing Tang Monk’s kasaya, he would be taken in by Guanyin and put to work as a security guard. A perfect lackey monster. Luckily, he discovered a space rift that could take him back to the modern world. There was no way he was getting mixed up with all these gods and Buddhas in Journey to the West. To find his way home, he stole the Brocade Kasaya as the original story dictated, then waited for Sun Wukong to come knocking. At his first glimpse of his childhood idol, he could barely stop himself from rushing over to embrace him. But he had to hold back! “Great Sage, I’ve heard so much about you! How about a couple of bets? If I lose, I’ll return the kasaya. If I win, you teach me a divine art!” They fought a battle that shook the mountains and split the earth, and Xiong Feng gladly admitted defeat. For the second round, he brought out a modern brainteaser: “Is this statement true or false?” The Great Sage cursed, “You’re playing tricks!” In the end, he chose the art of creating an external incarnation. A security guard? No more! This guy was going back to Earth to live carefree as a rogue of the demon world!
