The Path of Five Stars

The Trajectory of Five Stars takes BIGBANG's nineteen-year journey as its backbone and the bond between its five members and the love they find as its soul, weaving an ensemble tale of dreams and eternity.

In a Seoul practice room in 2006, five boys polished their dance moves in front of a mirror. Their sweat-soaked T-shirts bore names no one had yet learned. The motion-activated lights in the hallway at dawn, and the resolute belief in one another's eyes that they would make it big, were the first glimmers of light. When the melody of "Lies" burst forth, they were thrust into the spotlight, growing from a group that faced skepticism into a force that rewrote the rules of K-pop. The path of the first star held both youthful innocence and the pain of breaking out of one's shell, while planting the seeds of love.

At their peak, the stage spun like a nebula, with "Fantastic Baby" and "Blue" intertwined, applause mingling with controversy. Warm milk in the studio, hands clenched amid public scrutiny: these were the footnotes to the second star, a testament to perseverance in the glare of fame and the struggle between the individual and the group. They also revealed what love looked like: waiting backstage and keeping each other company late into the night, an anchor amid the clamor.

Even the hiatus for military service could not break their unspoken bond, and love continued to grow. When "Still Life" played in 2022, the four members on screen seemed to have returned to the old days. In the audience, tender faces had joined them: some had partners by their side, some wore rings, and some smiled when they spoke of "home."

This is more than just a novel. Through the trajectories of five stars, it captures youth and fulfillment: nights spent losing ourselves in their music, moments when they dared to be brave, and the promise to "shine apart, then blow the roof off time when we come together." Some bonds last longer than starlight, and some loves were written by fate in that practice room nineteen years ago.
