Guaranteed Ripe!

Wang Dagua is a nobody at the bottom of the martial world, and he loves nothing more than eating melon and watching the commotion.

One day, while watching two grandmasters fight to the death, he was happily munching on a watermelon when a seed, sent flying by sword energy, struck the deadly pressure point between his Ren and Du meridians with perfect accuracy.

“Pfft!” He let out a watermelon-flavored burp. Golden light flashed all around him, and somehow he became a peerless master.

From then on, the martial world took a bizarre turn: he shattered a courtesan’s prized guqin while listening to music in a brothel, and drained a century-old wine cellar dry while eating at an inn.

At the martial arts tournament, he yawned, watermelon knife in hand. “Who won? I need to get back and cut my melon.”

> Sword Saint Ye Gucheng challenged him, only to be sent flying by his “smashed cucumber” palm technique.

“With inner strength this powerful, you can be invincible just by cutting watermelon!” Wang Dagua munched on his melon, looking completely innocent.

Everyone stared at the watermelon rinds scattered across the ground and fell silent. Had the martial world gotten completely ridiculous?
