I Transmigrated as Erlang Shen and Was Demoted from the Start

“What? I have to grant the wishes of a thousand mortals, and I can’t even use divine power?”

Yang Zichen transmigrates into Erlang Shen, Yang Jian, only to be kicked down to the mortal realm by his own uncle, the Jade Emperor, before he can even enjoy his newfound power.

“Uncle! This punishment is such a rip-off!”

Rubbing his sore backside, he looks at his first assignment: help an old farmer find his ox.

The dignified Perfected Lord of Clear Origin and Miraculous Dao pokes at a muddy ditch with a branch, while Howling Celestial Dog gloats, “Master, the ox is over there!”

“Shut up! Looking for this ox is driving me crazy... Ow!”

The backlash from forcing his powers makes him grimace in pain.

His younger sister, Yang Chan, sneaks down to the mortal realm. “Second Brother, I’m here to help!”

And so, the most pitiful divine trio in history is born:

A down-on-his-luck Perfected Lord with a tough exterior and a soft heart, the gentle and wise Third Holy Mother, and a dog who packs a physical punch.

From finding oxen and arranging marriages to outsmarting the powerful and battling demons, Yang Jian gradually regains his divine power by completing missions.

He goes on a wild KPI-stamping spree in another world: grant a thousand wishes and earn his way back to Heaven!

“Being a god these days is no easy job!”

Yang Jian stares at the haunted mansion in Qinghe County and clenches his fists.

“Howling Celestial Dog, grab your weapon... No, wait, find me a sturdy stick!”
