Cheng Shiyuan was the third daughter of the prime minister, but at the age of eight, she was framed and driven out of her home by her father.
By chance, she became the apprentice of a traveling physician and earnestly studied medicine. In time, she mastered the wondrous art of using poison to counter poison, earning herself the name “Ghost Doctor” throughout the martial world.
She had planned to live in seclusion in the mountains and devote herself to medicine. But her growing fame made her a target for assassins.
An assassin found her home and set out to kill her. At the last moment, she encountered His Highness Prince Lan, Mo Chenyan, who had come seeking medical treatment. With her silver tongue, she persuaded Mo Chenyan to save her.
From that moment on, their fates became intertwined.
Cheng Shiyuan: I’m sorry, Your Highness. I’ve gotten you into trouble again!
Mo Chenyan: Never mind! I’ll be your backer. Do whatever you want!
Cheng Shiyuan: There are so many of them. I’m afraid you can’t fight them all alone! You should hurry and leave!
Mo Chenyan: Don’t worry! One fan is all I need to deal with them!
