Can Getting Struck by Lightning Make You an Immortal?

College student Zhang Tianrun has the worst luck imaginable: under a cloudless sky, nine strange bolts of lightning suddenly appear and chase him down, trying to strike him dead! He survives, but the lightning opens his “yin-yang eyes,” and the world around him changes completely. At the hospital, there's a ghostly old man with a face on the back of his head; a nurse with a wet, fishlike tail; and a legless JK girl floating down the street... All kinds of ghosts and monsters are practically lining up to “say hello.”

Just as he begins to think he's going insane and needs electroshock therapy, the mysterious senior student Liu Qingci shows up. This beautiful woman in a qipao claims to be an heir of the “Xuanyin Sect” and tells him the lightning wasn't a natural disaster, but a man-made one! Someone was trying to strike a “great evil” dead, and Zhang Tianrun just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, becoming a scapegoat! Now he's not only tainted by the “evil thing's” bad luck, he's also become an ideal “all-in-one tonic” in its eyes!

Even more absurdly, his childhood friend Wang Yue is surrounded by yin energy and hiding a secret of her own. A snow-white spirit fox with three tails drops from the sky, saves him, then shamelessly declares him its master and refuses to leave him alone! With monsters everywhere, one bizarre incident after another, and the “great evil” Liu Qingci says is watching them, Zhang Tianrun has no choice but to grit his teeth and press on. Holding the childhood friend who can see ghosts with his left hand and carrying the spirit fox that can shoot electricity with his right, he sets out on a path to “immortality (?)” forged by lightning, in a city where silly comedy and horror go hand in hand.

But as they investigate further, an even more terrifying truth gradually comes to light: that lightning strike seems to have awakened a supreme being that had slumbered for countless ages, watching over all living things...
