Blood Moon Zombie Tide: The War of East and West in the Dark

Setting: Shanghai in 1925, where the foreign concessions and Chinese districts intertwine, Western culture collides with Eastern traditions, and unknown dangers lurk in the dark.

• The vampire clans: European vampires led by Count Cullen, a descendant of Dracula, hide in mansions in the French Concession. They sustain their immortality by drinking the blood of poor Chinese people and long to find the legendary Eastern treasure that lets its bearer “walk beneath the sun.”

• Chinese jiangshi: A century-old jiangshi, sealed by a Taoist priest in a cemetery outside the city in the late Qing dynasty, has broken free amid recent blood-moon omens. Driven by sinister yin energy, it feeds on the life force of the living. Blades and bullets cannot pierce it, and it fears glutinous rice, inked string, peachwood swords, and Taoist talismans.
