Wild Pines Wait for No One

The world is an endless wasteland.

Shen Songye is a pine tree stubbornly growing in the wilderness.

Xu Qichi is the one who arrives late, seeking shelter.

The world is a wasteland, and we are each other’s only oasis.

When the wild pine’s roots can no longer hold on to the wandering footsteps,

when Qichi’s stay can never keep pace with the surging river of fate,

the wasteland swallows the oasis, leaving one person alone with empty memories.

“Xu Qichi, would you please love me next time?”

But the stubborn pine doesn’t know that the returning bird has been waiting for him all along.
