Naruto: With the Butterfly of the End, I Burn Away the Tree of Lies

Yuye, an orphan of the Butterfly Corps in Konoha’s shadows. Carrying the mutated secret art of Phosphorus Release, he is branded a monster by the village’s leaders and subjected to surveillance and persecution. After awakening on the brink of death, he discovers the forbidden power of phosphorus powder to steal kekkei genkai. During his escape, he saves Ren, the Kaguya Clan’s last berserker and a Shikotsumyaku heir. The two forge a pact of life and death in the darkness.

Founding the organization “Butterfly of the End,” Yuye wields schemes as a blade and stirs the shinobi world into chaos: spreading fear, sowing discord among the great nations, overthrowing the daimyo’s regime, and even pouring the false truth of the “Will of Fire” into Naruto Uzumaki’s ears, helping him become the new emperor of the shinobi world. But just as Yuye finally burns Konoha to the ground in his ultimate form, the Undying Butterfly, the awakening of Ōtsutsuki Kaguya turns Ren into a vessel.

To save his only light, Yuye offers himself as a sacrifice, becoming a phosphorus butterfly that corrodes the heavens and seals the deity. From the ashes, a new order rises with Naruto’s empire. Only a ghostly blue phosphorus butterfly lingers by the window of the sleeping Ren. It is the echo of a revolutionary who remade the world through destruction, and the final tenderness of an undying being.
