Ashes’ Road Home: From Konoha to the Abyss

On the cold battlefield of the Land of Rain, an orphan known as “Ashes” awakens among the corpses. Only one obsession still burns in his soul: saving his critically ill younger sister. Orochimaru and Tsunade bring him back to Konoha, but this false haven of peace cannot contain his desperate longing to return home. He willingly embraces Konoha’s darkest depths, joining Root and honing himself into a blade beneath Danzo’s shadow, all while coveting Orochimaru’s forbidden knowledge. Only Rena Senju, a medical ninja, is like a faint glimmer piercing the abyss. She becomes his sole emotional bond in a cold world, and the source of his deepest pain.

To obtain the power to tear through space-time, Ashes is willing to trample everything. He defects from Konoha, desecrates the dead, studies the Impure World Reincarnation, and assembles an army of the undead. After forging a fragile alliance with Madara Uchiha in the depths of the abyss, he becomes the “Necromancer,” a figure who makes the entire ninja world shudder. With ruthless efficiency, he hunts the Tailed Beasts and unleashes a torrent of bloodshed across the continent. Amid the flames of war, Rena’s tears and convictions are the only things left to challenge what remains of his humanity.

When Madara’s plan to destroy the world begins, Ashes boldly betrays him, seeking only to seize the ultimate power. The moment the space-time passage opens, he drags his broken body and a lifetime of sins back to his homeland. What awaits him is his sister’s cold, empty bed. After giving everything and burning it all away, all he has gained is a return that came too late. As his power turns against him and his soul withers, Ashes fades away before his sister’s grave. All that remains is the memory of Rena’s indistinct smile in the sunlight, the last and most painful warmth on his dark journey home.
