Ten Years of Tomb Raiding

The story follows Wu Xie after he completely defeats the Wang Family. He takes Fatty, Xiaohua, and the core members of the Nine Gates to Changbai Mountain to bring Zhang Qiling home. The book mentions that the Old Nine Gates once agreed to take turns guarding the secret behind the bronze gate, changing shifts every ten years. Everyone except the Zhang Family broke their promise. In 2005, it should have been Wu Xie’s turn to guard the bronze gate for ten years, but Zhang Qiling took his place, and the two agreed that Wu Xie would come relieve him ten years later. Before the journey to Changbai Mountain, there is also a scene where Wu Xie stands before Pan Zi’s grave and reflects on the past. Afterward, he sets off for Changbai Mountain with his own forces to bring Xiaoge home. The book also includes the stories of Dog Five and Chen Pi A Si, as well as the tale of what lies beyond the bronze gate, told through Wu Xie’s dreams.
