Lei Tianya was a veteran of the reconnaissance battalion in a heavy combined-arms brigade, with years of combat experience under his belt. After leaving the military, his business venture failed, wiping out his savings and tearing his family apart. His wife took their child and left.
With no other options, he joined the ranks of mercenaries, earning a fearsome reputation for his ruthlessness and cunning. After completing one last dangerous mission, he was ambushed by a drone while on leave and inexplicably transmigrated to the Second Sino-Japanese War. He awoke in the body of a company commander in the 443rd Regiment, 72nd Division of the Jin-Sui Army, during the Battle of Xinkou. The commander’s name was also Lei Tianya. And so the story begins.
