[The Legend of Luo Xiaohei] Come Home

【Futuristic】＋【War】＋【Plot-Focused】 (The original characters’ personalities change quite a bit. Apologies in advance.) I’m not very satisfied with the first 30 chapters myself, but things gradually get better later on o(￣ヘ￣o#) (This is a fanwork focused on the plot. Please read the introduction first to get a general idea of the world before starting.) A thousand years ago, the Old Lord, revered as a “god,” established the Fairy Hall, welcoming fairies and giving them a place to live. In the twenty-first century, as technology advances by leaps and bounds, a change in human leadership brings the hardliners to power. War between humans and fairies breaks out in the blink of an eye. Using their organization of psychics, humans slaughter large numbers of fairies, who have little in the way of defenses, to nourish the Spirit Trees. Many Fairy Halls, whether hidden in the human world or tucked away in the mountains, are destroyed. Only a handful survive, becoming the fairies’ last homes. The Old Lord once again opens Lanxi Town, where he once lived with his beloved, offering the fairies refuge from disaster. And in this war, it seems that one rather unlucky human has somehow been swept up in it? A girl who was once innocent and carefree seeks balance through the sharpest kind of tenderness, caught between the affections of immortals. How could a boy blessed by divine beasts end up buried among the trees and grass? Only the black cat who grew up alongside them continues to offer the kindness everyone taught him, in a world reduced to ruins. But this is a story about “me.” I once nearly resigned myself to an ordinary, pointless life. Now, with this great responsibility before me, I will bear any number of sins if that is what it takes to give the world peace.
