Past Seventy, I Picked Up a Valkyrie Wife for Free

At seventy, Shen Tieshan had spent seventy years in a fantasy world and hadn't even caught a glimpse of a wife. Ready to lie flat and wait for death, he was just about to give up. Then, hey! A huge stroke of luck fell from the sky. Or rather, a beautiful immortal maiden fell from the sky, bubbling with beauty but barely clinging to life, and crashed right through the roof of his shabby hut. “Save me...” the maiden gasped. Shen Tieshan: “???” Just as Shen Tieshan wondered what on earth was going on, a loud “Ding!” rang in his head: [Ding! The Wife-Doting Makes You Strong System, seventy years late, has arrived! Bound partner: Su Jiuyao!] [Newbie quest: Cook your wife a bowl of hot porridge. Reward: cultivation infusion!] Looking at the battered pot bubbling away, Shen Tieshan's cloudy old eyes suddenly gleamed. “Porridge? This old man knows how to make that!” “I've been drinking porridge every day for seventy years.” Su Jiuyao frowned as she drank the bowl of coarse porridge, then realized that her injuries were actually getting better. From then on, everything went completely off the rails. The old man in his seventies became a doting husband: asking after her and keeping her warm was just the basics, making soups and stews was part of his daily routine, rubbing her shoulders and massaging her legs was his KPI, and going all out to make his wife happy was the golden rule! Other people could cultivate bitterly for ten years, but he gained cultivation faster by combing his wife's hair. Others fought over treasures in secret realms, but his beat-up porridge pot was more powerful than their magic treasures! Just as the immortal maiden's enemies followed the scent and came knocking, Shen Tieshan shakily stepped in front of his stunning wife, wearing a harmless old-man grin. “Easy there, strong fellow. I just wanted to ask you something.” He shook his fist. “If I use the strength I normally use to massage my wife's legs to punch someone, do you think it'd pack a punch?”
