After We Were Reborn, Childhood Sweethearts Became Enemies

**Synopsis of Childhood Sweethearts: Reborn as Enemies** A car accident turns childhood sweethearts Cheng Nuan and Lu Yuan into strangers. When they wake up in the hospital, both find themselves carrying “memories of a past life”: Cheng Nuan remembers Lu Yuan betraying her, while Lu Yuan remembers Cheng Nuan abandoning him. After a cold confrontation at a funeral, they enter the same university, bound by their hatred, only to be forced to give a speech together at the opening ceremony. The sharp exchanges as they revise their speeches late at night, the electric current when their hands meet, and the tension in their research group gradually tear open cracks in their memories: mysterious symbols on their arms, Professor Xu Ming’s unusual interest in them, and an insignia on the truck door... When they sneak into the psychology building and find files on “memory implantation experiments,” they realize they were victims all along. From tormenting each other under the symbols’ control to breaking their connection with their fingers intertwined, they piece together the truth as they flee: evidence left behind by their parents, illegal experiments exposed by the media, and crucial testimony in court finally bring the mastermind to justice. Once their wounds have healed, they choose to share an apartment. Beneath a meteor shower on the rooftop, they confess their childhood promise and finally fulfill their youthful vows. At their seaside wedding, two rings gleam in the moonlight. The childhood sweethearts once torn apart by hatred are reborn at last as each other’s lifelong support.
