The Aloof Prison Warden Is a Beta

At the heart of the ocean lies a prison that holds the most vicious criminals and boasts the most impenetrable defenses. It is called Nameless Prison. No one knows what it is like inside, because only two kinds of people can enter or leave: prisoners and guards. Every inmate is serving life or awaiting execution, and even the guards who work there must sign top-secret confidentiality agreements. So almost no one knows that the person with the highest clearance in the prison is a beta. Until one day, a lion broke in. Ryan is not the first person to be interrogated personally by the warden of Nameless Prison, but few have been. At their first meeting, Ryan nearly lost half his life. As two guards carried him back to his cell, his first thought, between gasps for breath, was that the famous warden of Nameless Prison was actually a cat. This cat is vicious. He bares his sharp claws at anyone he sees, intent on tearing a strip of flesh from them. Everyone here fears the warden. Everyone except Ryan. One day, while all the prisoners were out in the yard, a chameleon saw the reckless lion boldly reach out and grab the warden’s tail. It was an act of pure suicide. Soon, the chameleon saw the warden throw the prisoner to the ground with a brutal hip toss, then wrap his tail around the man’s neck. Just as the prisoner was about to suffocate... the warden kissed him??? (Fictional interstellar setting)
