Heartbeat Signal, Please Check

Youth was a summer night tuned to the wrong frequency

He silenced his confession with a cigarette burn, while she drowned her hopes in tears. Until one day, the signal suddenly came in loud and clear:

The cigarette pack in his school uniform pocket became the strawberry candies she slipped inside.

The tear-soaked Big Bad Wolf plushie she cherished was embroidered with a pink rabbit by him.

The volunteer application he secretly photographed became the direction she set out to pursue.

Later, beneath the cherry trees at Shanghai University, she waved a yellowed instruction manual and asked:

“Su, how do you fix error code 001?”

He kissed the cigarette scar on her fingertip.

“With a kiss, solder it shut. No repairs needed for life.”

“When love is on the same frequency, every heartbreak becomes a mold for candy.”
