The Legend of Qin: The Sword Rises at Sunset

The Legend of Qin: Swords Rise in the Setting Sun unfolds against the chaos that followed Qin's unification of the six states, telling an epic tale of chivalry, fate, and growth. After Jing Ke's failed assassination attempt on Qin, the world's greatest swordsman, Gai Nie, defects from the Qin palace and flees across the land with Jing Ke's son, Jing Tianming. At the Battle of Crescent Moon Valley, he uses his "Hundred-Step Flying Sword" to hold off three hundred Qin soldiers, but draws the attention of his former fellow disciple Wei Zhuang and the Quicksand organization, who pursue him. This chase across the martial world is not only the ultimate duel between the two Guigu disciples and their vertical and horizontal sword arts, but also entangles them in the mystery of the Yin-Yang School's cursed seals and the millennia-old secrets of the Mohist Mechanism City. From an ignorant boy, Tianming gradually comes to understand chivalry under Gai Nie's tutelage. In Mechanism City, he meets Gao Yue and Xiang Shaoyu, joining the Mohists in resisting Qin tyranny. Wei Zhuang's coldness and obsession, Duanmu Rong's compassionate heart, Gao Yue's concealed identity as a princess of Yan, and the Yin-Yang School's shocking conspiracy surrounding the "Seven Star Dragons" intertwine amid the conflicts among the Hundred Schools of Thought. The intricacies of mechanisms, the lethal precision of swordsmanship, and the deviousness of political schemes together pave a long road from flight to resistance. As the cold gleam of the "Hundred-Step Flying Sword" cuts through the long night and the gears of Mechanism City turn, heralding the beginning of the resistance against Qin, every character searches for their true self in the torrent of fate. Gai Nie defends the Way with his sword; Wei Zhuang glimpses his true nature through his obsession; and Tianming grows from an orphan into a young leader who shoulders the Mohists' cause. This is not merely a tragic ballad of a chaotic age, but a heroic song of redemption and steadfastness, capturing the passion and tenderness of the final years of Qin amid flashing blades and clashing swords.
